Nike also does not approve of the company's connection to Satanism.
"There is already evidence of significant confusion and distortion in the market, including Nike boycott calls in response to the release of MSCHF 's' Satan shoes' based on the misconception that Nike authorized or approved this product," the lawsuit said.
Nike has filed a lawsuit against MSCHF for trademark infringement, tampering and unfair competition, seeking compensatory, legal and sanctioning damages, as well as waiving MSCHF's profits for a specified amount.
Nike is also asking the court to order the shoes and all marketing materials to be handed over for destruction.
MSCHF has not yet commented on the lawsuit, but Lil Nas X, who has not been sued, commented on the developments in his own sarcastic way.
